Rosco Butterflies and Overheads are manufactured to fit the standard frames used in motion picture and television production – from 4’x4’ (1.12 x 1.12 m) to 20’x20’ (5.90 x 5.90 m), with custom sizes and finishing available as well.

Using a wide variety of popular filmmaking light modifying materials, Rosco Butterflies and Overheads can be used for diffusion, reflection, beam control & shaping, and modifying colour temperature. Digital compositing textiles such as Chroma Key Green and Blue are also available.

Egg Crate Butterflies are also available to control the spill from large frames of diffusion and direct the light where it needs to be on set. They are available in 40° and 50° configurations and are manufactured using a lightweight, durable, light-absorbing fabric.

All Rosco Butterflies and Overheads are supplied edge-finished with ties and grommets using industrial-strength webbing to provide strength and flexibility. The grommets are spaced every 25 cm for standard sizes up and including 8' x 12' (2.35 x 3.55 m) and every 35 cm for larger standard and custom sizes. The webbing for Nets and Silks is colour-coded to facilitate easy identification on set. Each shipped inside a water-resistant bag.
